The Ballet

idea

To tell the story of the Ballet show in an unconventional way, for three days, the storefronts of a historic building were transformed into a theater with a ballet performance. It showcased the underside of fine art — pain, intrigue, obsession and passion. The sets and lights were built, and the curtain was sewn for the 2 floors that the project took place on. The second floor featured a grand stage with a curtain, snow-white ballerinas, classical music and ballet. While the first floor was filled with pain, trauma, stage obsession, trial by fame and and featured contemporary choreography. The narrative moved seamlessly from one storefront to the next, revealing what stands behind the snow-white dresses and flawless movements. The show ran almost non-stop for three days and was performed more than 80 times, featuring 18 dancers from the best ballet companies in the country, who changed each other continuously. The project's choreographers were Alexander Mogilev, famous for the ""Dancing on TNT"" and ""Bolshoi Ballet"" projects, and Victoria Radaeva, an artist of Dance Theaters and a laureate of international and Russian competitions. The live performance was seen by over 30.000 spectators. The project videos were viewed over 7.000.000 times. The total reach amounted to over 11.000.000 users.
