SIBUR, Russia’s leading petrochemical company, is working to elevate the prestige of science in the country, where only half of young people view a career in science as attractive due to stereotypes about low salaries and isolated "lab-bound" work. To reshape the image of corporate science, the company launched Russia’s first fashion collaboration with the brand OLOVO, creating stylish workwear that combines functionality, Soviet scientific heritage, and contemporary design. The collection was unveiled through fashion performances at the Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi, interactive installations, and viral content featuring blogger Anton Lapenko, transforming scientists into charismatic innovators. The media campaign—including PR publications, influencer collaborations, and corporate culture integrations—debunked the myth of "boring science," turning it into a part of pop culture. As a result, the project not only reinforced SIBUR’s position as an innovation leader but also redefined the perception of scientists, proving that science can be fashionable, dynamic, and socially impactful. The collection is set to be rolled out for employees, while the communications campaign will be expanded in the next stages.
