Ivi Sans Display is a typeface that was created for the online video streaming service Ivi. After rebranding, the Ivi team decided to replace their current neutral typeface and create a signature typeface with a unique and vibrant personality. The new font had to match the brand's key characteristics: emotional, modern, soft, unusual, vibrant, and kind. Throughout our exploration stage, Ivi conducted research and gathered feedback to understand what kinds of fonts their audience liked. We also factored in the company's specific preferences: the Ivi team wanted their font to be asymmetrical, unique, and with a quirky charm. As a result, we crafted a vibrant typeface with rounded shapes, unusual ink traps, and eye-catching details. The font's look is inventive and original, but, at the same time, it evokes associations with something close and familiar. Besides, Ivi Sans Display turned out to be welcoming and friendly due to its handmade aesthetic. Ivi Sans Display contains three stylistic sets. The first one is called Readability: almost all our expressive shapes "hide" and become more familiar, but the overall style stays the same. It serves to "calm down" the look of the text for specific purposes. The second set is Curly Letters, with highlighted expressiveness of some shapes. And the third set is Soft Character with a handwritten quality to it.
