Born confused in Sardinia, a beautiful Italian island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Michele turned passion for graphic design into a career that has taken him across continents. The journey began at Ogilvy in Johannesburg, where he spent seven transformative years creating impactful campaigns for clients like Nike, Audi, Fanta, MTV, Coca Cola, ESPN, Cadbury, IBM, Greenpeace, Philips, South Africa Breweries, and even the FIFA Soccer World Cup. After nearly a decade in South Africa, moved to Dubai, working with renowned agencies like Wunderman and Havas. He led international teams, won accounts, and crafted award-winning campaigns for brands like Adidas, Virgin Mobile, Lego, and Durex.
Throughout the career, he has been fortunate to work on campaigns that have not only won awards but have also made a difference. The KFC Mini Cricket campaign, still active today, is a testament to the lasting impact of his work. The joy on the faces of the students as they played with their heroes from the national cricket team is a reward no trophy could match.
But what truly excites him is the potential of the unexplored. The AI revolution, while daunting for some, sparks a sense of curiosity in him. At the current agency, he's actively integrating AI into the creative process, pushing boundaries and redefining what 's possible.
Balancing being responsible for teams in Dubai and Egypt and working on major accounts like Adidas, Virgin Mobile, MG, and First Abu Dhabi Bank is challenging, but he embrace it. When he does find some downtime, he might be found perfecting his gnocchi recipe, capturing memories through the camera, or unwinding with a challenging video game. He's a lover of design, 90s basketball, technology and science fiction.
His creative work has been recognised at major award shows as Cannes Lions, Dubai Lynx, One Show Asia, Ad Stars, Mena Effies, Lisbon Int.Ad Fest, Cresta Awards, The Loeries Awards and others.
Appreciates the simplicity of minimalism and the nostalgia of old cars. He's the kind of person who learns from documentaries, gets energized in the mosh pits of ska and punk concerts - at least until the knees fail him.
