Danette Breitenbach is currently she is the Managing Editor for Bizcommunity, a South Africa-based online B2B news publisher catering to business audiences across 19 industries in Africa. She is also the co-editor for the media and marketing portal.

A seasoned communications practitioner and writer she has worked on a freelance basis for over 20 years, covering a myriad of industries and sectors. She was the editor of the ADvantage magazine, which catered for the creative industry in SA.

In 2018 completed her master’s in financial journalism at Wits with her thesis set in the mining industry.  Over the years she has judged numerous awards including the Prism Awards (PR Awards), the IAB SA Bookmarks (Digital Awards), and PICA Awards (magazine awards).

She was the APEX Awards Conference MC and Speaker Moderator, at the IAB Summit 2019, and the Biztrends Panel Moderator at IAB South Africa Insight Event, May 2019.
